 I would like to share with the community that PURAVERA just join the ATTA - Adventure Travel Trade Association, organizers of the International Summit on Sustainable Adventure Tourism. Organization that brings together over 600 experts, central reservation/ bookings, tour operators, tourist trade journalists with a focus to natural, cultural heritage and sustainability. With this partnership we intend to publicize the region shire of La Vera and position on the international scene as a rural tourism destination.

PURAVERA offers the possibility to visit a rural destination with 47 crystal clear gorges and sheltered by the “Sierra de Gredos”, a destination chosen by the Emperor Charles V for his spiritual retreat. 

Our goal is to promote rural tourism which helps to improve the environmental and cultural awareness. We offer a range of accommodations all following our quality standards and code of conduct and many additional activities such as hiking, mountain bike, rappel, quads, canoeing, ski, among others for the more adventurous and cultural visits, gastronomical routes, historical monuments and heritage villages, for those who seek a more relax experience.

PURAVERA's mission focuses on the Sustainable Development of the Region of “Comarca de la Vera”, mainly through the promotion of responsible rural tourism projects and local business support to increase employment in the area. The ultimate goal is to position the region of La Vera as a Responsible Rural Tourism destination.

We are going to the World Summit 2010 held in Scotland this year and it is our objective to network with tour-operators, media, travel agents, other destinations and any other colleague in order to promote and position the region of “La Comarca de la Vera” as a responsible destination.
